Beautiful Lake Burton in Georgia

We stopped at this fish hatchery at Lake Burton which is on Highway 197 near Clarkesville, GA.

They raised trout which would be released into area streams and lakes once they became a certain size.

Where did we go a few years ago when your whole side of the family went? Somewhere up in GA, right?

It was when you turned 5 and was all in this area of N. GA & NC. Also with your dad's parents too. You saw the Biltmore House, Cherokee NC, Helen GA, waterfalls, Cabbage Patch House, etc. M & D's anniversary was in Elijay, N of Atlanta, another beautiful area. So you've been 3 times. Has Ross been in this area?

I just happened up on your post. Yes, I do recognize several pictures as we spend a lot of our summer and fall close to the Mountain Juction Store. Also have a friend who lives at lake Burton so have been on boat rides over the lake. Beautiful area. I have the same feeling when we leave for the last time in the fall to return to South Ga. for the winter.

I definitely would like to plan a stay on Lake Burton now. Just a gorgeous area. I'm already looking forward to planning a trip around Boone & E Tenn. I can show people these photos & they also know exactly where you're talking about & have such fond memories.
