How would you feel if after 30 years you discovered you had a sister? Stunned? Well, that's how two British women felt after finding out they are really sisters having been friends for 30 years.
Deborah Day was adopted when she was two months old. Her sister, Marilyn Morris, was about 1 year older.
They met again as teenagers when they started working together in a supermarket and a friendship started, not knowing they were actually sisters.
As life happens, they lost touch. Eventually an older sister, Sally Griffiths, after learning about her family history started searching for her family.
When they were reunited Deborah, 44, and Marilyn, 45, were shocked to learn they were more than just friends....but sisters.
Deborah and Marilyn's children go to the same school and live within a mile of each other. The sisters look alike and realize they have a lot of catching up to do.
How wonderful that they have been reunited not only as friends, but now as sisters!
I love my sister, who is also my best friend, so I know how Deborah and Marilyn must be feeling. What a great story!
